Thanks to Fey Friends for digging up this gem, as a part of his ten worst Christmas songs ever.
It’s like a parade of bad hair brought to you by 80s male pop “powerhouses”… yep, there’s George Michael, and Sting, and Phil Collins (how the hell was he popular then? Imagine him becoming a superstar now…not.) and even BONO lent his talents to this schlock. But hey, what the hell, while we’re at it, let’s throw in JODI WATLEY into this We-Are-the-World-Wannabe single.
Why you hating on Phil Collins? He’s a musical genius! Su-su-ssudio!
I heard this song the other day and I have to say I did cringe a little on Bono’s behalf when he belts out, “And tonight thank God it’s them, instead of YOUUUUUUU.” The song is so patronizing by today’s standards it’s sort of creepy. I really wonder what he thinks of it now.

I love this song! I STILL have the 45 of it. Although as MRP mentioned that Bono line always made me cringe a little.
Oh and can we talk about George Michael’s horrible perm!
